Marine sustainability programe

The active participation of women plays a crucial role in ensuring successful and sustainable marine fishing practices. In this regard, the organization OPEnE has launched the Marine Sustainability Value Chain Development initiative. This program aims to provide training and education to female fishermen in the Palk Bay region to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle potential hazards that may arise while engaging in fishing activities. The training focuses on implementing safety measures to protect themselves during fishing operations and ensuring their well-being.
